| Company Description |
|
ASCO Scientific division $25 Billion sales Emerson Electric manufactures micro-miniature valves fluid control. ASCO Valves analytical and medical instrumentation valves for gas chromatograph instruments, hematology analyzers and oxygen concentrators. |
|
|
|
| ASCO Scientific manufactures only the
highest quality micro-miniature solenoid valves for the control of fluids
in analytical and medical instrumentation as well as many other
applications. ASCO Scientific valves are found in equipment ranging from
gas chromatographs, to hematology analyzers, to oxygen concentrators. In
addition to our comprehensive standard product offering, we have the
ability to create customized products that provide the precise solution to
meet your fluid control needs. |
General Service Valves
ASCO Scientific offers a line of 2 way and 3
way miniature solenoid valves ideal for applications where long life,
small size and low power consumption are a must. These valves are ideal
for the control of non-corrosive liquids and gases in Medical and
Analytical instrumentation and portable devices. General
Service Valves consists of two families of 1/2" and 3/4" overall
diameter. Constructions are available with conventional and latching
solenoids and a variety of orifice sizes and mounting configurations. Many
options are also available including various seal materials, electrical
connectors, and port fittings. |
Isolation Valves
Isolation valves are defined by
their construction. Sometimes called ‘shielded core valves’ they
incorporate a diaphragm that shields the fluid flowing through the valve
from the internal components of the solenoid. This is important in
applications where the valve is controlling corrosive or high purity
fluids. ASCO Scientific’s line includes two broad types of isolation
valves - Inert Isolation and General Isolation. ASCO
Scientific’s Inert Isolation valves are constructed with extremely
chemically resistant materials such as TFE and PEEK polymers as well as
Perfluorelastomers to handle the most aggressive or high purity media.
General Isolation valves are constructed of slightly less chemically
resistant materials such as PSU, PEI, FKM, and EPDM for applications that
are not as harsh. Our 2 way and 3 way Isolation valves are available in
both manifold mount and inline configurations.

Pinch Valves
Pinch valves are a unique family of valves that are designed to
control fluid by locating soft tubing in a mechanism that squeezes the
tubing to block flow and releases it to allow flow. Like Isolation valves,
Pinch valves keep the solenoid components isolated from the fluid. The
only wetted component is the tubing itself. Pinch valves are designed to
be used with Silicone tubing because of its superior resilient qualities.
Limited only by the compatibility of Silicone tubing, Pinch valves can be
used to control a large variety of fluids. Pinch valves are also useful
when controlling fluids with particulate. Our Series S Pinch valves are
available in 2 way Normally Open, 2 way Normally Closed, and 3 way
versions.

Manifolds
To reduce assembly time, eliminate leak paths, and avoid
plumbing errors associated with tubing together in-line vales, ASCO
Scientific offers a standard line of manifolds for use with our Series AM
miniature general purpose valves. These standard manifolds are made of
corrosion resistant anodized aluminum and are available in 4, 6, 8, and 12
station configurations. ASCO Scientific can also design custom manifolds
in a variety of materials using many different types of valves and
components to meet your specific application requirements.
Accessories
To complement our miniature
valve product lines, ASCO Scientific offers accessories such as fittings,
silicone tubing, and electrical connectors. |
