Our Cleanroom Wiper Division manufactures and distributes fabric wipers for the Cleanroom industry—serving microelectronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, and the optics industries. This specialty product line consists of woven and nonwoven fabrics, polyester knits, laser cut sealed edge wipers, presaturated wipers, mopping systems, and swabs. These products are distributed through a network of more than 70 distributors throughout North America, South America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

Manufacturing Capabilities

Wiper Processing Facility

Opened in February of 1997, Contec's wiper converting and laundering facility was designed by engineers with over 80 years combined experience in the processing of cleanroom wipers. Our sealed edge process equipment is a proprietary design which is engineered to create the cleanest wiper edge available. We have incorporated the best features from laundering facilities throughout the country in the design of our cleanroom laundry. The water system is state-of-the-art design and has the capability to provide process water quality typical to that which is used in semiconductor or pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. This facility, the newest in our industry, manufactures the cleanest wipers currently available for critical environments.

Custom Presaturated Wiper Facility

Opened in September of 1995, Contec's custom presaturating facility is the only one of its type in the world. Most of our wiping materials can be produced in a presaturated form, with almost any solvent blend possibility. Since its opening, this facility has produced over 1000 different product variations in either sample or production quantities.

Customized Products

Contec specializes in developing and manufacturing customized cleanroom products. Common variables include: wiper size, fabric type, and edge requirements, i.e. knife cut, sealed edge, hemmed. Presaturated wipers are also custom manufactured in quantities as small as one case. Common variables include: type of wiper, size of wiper, type of package, type of solvent and quantity of solvent. All of our cleaning and spill control products were initially developed for a specific customer need. If you have a unique cleaning problem, let us know.
