Covance Research Products is an industry leader providing purpose-bred research animals and related services to the biomedical research community. For over thirty years CRP has been dedicated to continually expanding its products and services to help advance your research. CRP was the first to establish a pedigreed commercial rabbit colony, to successfully establish a Caesarean-derived rabbit colony, to introduce a purpose-bred Mini-Mongrel, and the first to commercially provide timed-mated rabbits for teratology studies.

From a one-facility location in Cumberland, VA in 1967, CRP has grown to include 5 locations housing rabbits, guinea pigs, canines, and nonhuman primates. With the acquisition of the Berkeley Antibody Company (BAbCO) in November of 1998, CRP greatly strengthened its position as a major provider of antibody products and services, and expanded its Innovative Surgery and Investigative Services study capabilities.

Innovative Surgery and Investigative Services
CRP offers an array of Innovative Surgery and Investigative Services, supporting both drug development and medical device research in addition to conducting GLP studies. Procedures range from installing vascular access ports prior to shipping an animal, to medical device model development at our 7,500-square-foot experimental surgical facility.
