| Type of Business |
PDI
is your source for plastic testing and polymer consulting. We specialize
in polymer testing, vinyl technology, chemical analysis and microscopy,
mechanical and physical properties testing, failure analysis, composite
technology, rheology, medical technology, and consultative services. In
addition to standard testing and analysis, PDI provides consultative
expertise to implement practical solutions for its clients. This is not
found in most testing facilities.
|
| Competitive Standard

|
•
PDI provides solutions and consultative services, not just data.
•
Only facility in the Midwest capable of performing full-scale fire testing
and fire science analysis.
•
Nearly $4 million worth of technical equipment on-site, including two
fully automated robots.
•
A2LA accreditation and ISO 9002 registered mechanical and physical testing
laboratory.
•
Lab-scale test for plastics processing emissions, which is more
cost-effective and timely than full-scale stack monitoring. This
technology has been pioneered by a PDI scientist and is not available
elsewhere.
•
Automated particle size analysis, which ensures adherence to benchmark
standards for those in the powder, pigment, paint, concrete, and dust
industries.
•
Advanced rheology testing to gauge process analysis and life expectancy of
a product.
•
Polymer mechanics lab for analyzing failures of plastics or polymers,
especially for medical device and aerospace applications.
•
Shape-retention testing on window construction.

Dr. Charles A.
Daniels, President of Polymer Diagnostics Inc. (PDI), has over 30 years of
experience in polymers and chemistry. After receiving his bachelor’s
degree in chemistry from Utica College (New York) in 1964, Chuck earned
his master’s and doctorate degrees in polymers and chemistry at
Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University. Prior to joining PDI, Chuck
served as Director of Research & Development for The Geon Company and
held similar positions at BFGoodrich. He is actively involved in the
American Chemical Society, Polymer Processing Society, Sigma Xi, and the
Council for Chemical Research.
R.W.
"Bob" Eiden is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at
Polymer Diagnostics Inc. A 22-year veteran of the industry, Bob began his
career in Research & Development (R&D) at BFGoodrich, shortly
after obtaining a degree in chemistry from Marquette University. He later
moved out of R&D and held several sales positions at the company,
including International Sales Manager and Business Manager of Packaging.
Before joining PDI at its inception in 1997, Bob was Sales Manager at The
Geon Company.

Few
factors are as important to the ultimate performance of your product as
its chemical composition and the purity of the materials that make up that
composition.
The
experts at Polymer Diagnostics Inc. have a long history in polymers and
specialty chemicals which allows us to quickly perform complex chemical
analyses, determine structural features, process dynamics, and other
product performance criteria.
So
if you’ve observed a performance problem develop slowly over time or
appear suddenly without explanation, call in the skilled scientists and
technicians of PDI.
The
staff of Polymer Diagnostics Inc. maintains the highest standards of
professional excellence. We provide the most reliable, most experienced,
and--as you can see below--the staff at PDI offers the most accredited
testing procedures to help you and your staff find real solutions to your
