Hinges

Reell’s standard constant torque friction hinges are available in a broad range of sizes and load capacities for controlling motion in applications when holding an object in position is desirable. These hinges, capable of providing up to 39 lb-in (45 Kgf-cm) of torque, hold position throughout their full range of motion. Reell’s patented “clip” technology provides a smooth, flowing feel while being virtually unaffected by wear, resulting in very consistent torque over life. The clip technology also eliminates “freeplay” and reduces “springback” to less than 1 degree, providing the ability to make precise position adjustments.

Clutches

Reell's standard electric wrap spring clutches are available in a broad range of sizes and load capacities for motion control applications of up to 75 lb-in (8.5 N-m) total load. They are ideally suited for intermittent motion applications requiring consistent timing performance over life. The wrap spring design provides the ability to drive a high amount of torque in a small package. Long life (LL) clutches are designed for use in applications with high input revolutions, extending the clutch bearing life by 2-10x depending on the load and duty cycle requirements.
