| Twisted Brushes
Single-Stem Single-Spiral - Filaments
are twisted between two stem wires with a single layer of filament.
Double-Stem Single-Spiral - Filaments are twisted
between four stem wires with two stem wires on each side for additional
strength and higher density fill.
Double-Stem Double-Spiral - Filaments are twisted
between four stem wires with two layers of bristles. Each layer is
perpendicular to the other with a single stem wire in each quadrant. The
highest brush-density and highest-strength twisted wire brush available.

| Metal Back Strip
Metal Back Strip brushes consist of
densely compressed synthetic, natural bristles or wire filaments laid down
over a continuous metal channel while being formed into a "U"
shape. A binding wire is inserted over the filament materials and forced
down into the partially formed metal backing. The binding wire causes the
fill material to form vertically as the metal backing forms and closes
over the binding wire and filament. Metal back strip brushes are the most
economical brush manufactured due to the simple form of construction.
Strip brushes are manufactured for many brush seal and cleaning
applications

|
| Stapled Brushes

Flat - Most
common shape used unless there are specific reasons for using other
shapes.
Bevel - Reduces
brush resistance and conforms to surface being brushed.
Concave or Convex - To
conform to the surface being brushed.
Step- For
brushing irregular or uneven surfaces.
Double Bevel - To
conform to the surface being brushed.
Combination Step - Combination
of step trims to conform to the surface being brushed.
Chisel or Converging -
Allows for greater concentration of brush fill to obtain more brushing
action. |
