The ProScan™ On-Line Process
Sensor is an optical sensor that mounts directly to the process line and
provides real-time information about your process. The sensor sends out a
beam of light and measures the light scatter produced by solids and other
material in the process fluid. The light scatter is measured with a
frequency producing high sensitivity IR receiver and processed by a high
speed microprocessor. The sensor expresses the degree of light scatter in
a 4 to 20 mA output.
Proscan™ can be used to
detect the transitions from product to water and from product to product
and to measure product concentrations in a wide variety of food processing
applications, including milk, ice cream, yogurt, whey, juice, soft drinks,
beer and water. It's also applicable for many pharmaceutical, chemical,
wastewater and pulp and paper applications.
Proscan™ is registered with
3-A Sanitary Standards and features a sanitary clamp process connection.
Standard connectors include 2 and 2½ inch sizes.
